How to use it
From setup to exam day, in 12 weeks.
There are only four rhythms to learn: one daily, one weekly, one per mock, and one for the final week. Everything else the app calculates for you.
Week 0
Setting the group up
Twenty minutes, once, before anyone starts studying. Do it properly and you never touch configuration again.
- 01
One person signs up and creates the group
Sign up free with email or Google, then set the exam date, test format, test centre, and the target band the group is aiming for. Everything in the app — the week you're on, the mock schedule, the countdown — is derived from these.
- 02
Build your own profile
Your name, a role in the group, a colour, and your starting band estimates per skill. The estimates don't need to be precise; they're the baseline the gap-to-target charts measure movement against.
- 03
Share the access code
Creating the group generates a short code. Send it however you already coordinate — WhatsApp, a group chat, whatever. It's the only thing anyone needs to get in.
- 04
Everyone else signs up and joins with the code
Each person creates their own free account, enters the code, and fills in their own name, role and starting bands. Nobody types anyone else's details, and each person's progress follows their login to any device.
- 05
Log one diagnostic score each
Take one timed Listening and Reading section under real conditions in the first few days and record it in the Score Tracker as a diagnostic. Without a real starting point, none of the trend charts can tell you anything for the first month.
The four rhythms
Then it's the same shape every week
Pick a rhythm to see exactly what it involves and roughly what it costs you.
The daily loop
15–60 minutesThis is the one that decides your result. If a member only ever does this, the program still works.
- 1
Open Today
1 minYour program day is calculated from the group's start date, so there's nothing to choose. Four or so tasks, each with a real time estimate and the resource it needs.
- 2
Work through the tasks
15–60 minUse the built-in study timer so the time is honest. Anything you can't get to can be pushed to tomorrow — that's a normal part of the design, not a failure state.
- 3
Log the session
10 secOne tap. This is what keeps your streak alive and what puts you on the group's board for the day — the single highest-leverage habit in the whole app.
- 4
Log any errors while they're fresh
2–5 minEvery wrong answer, with the reason it was wrong. Timing, distractor, spelling, misread instructions — the category matters more than the question.
- 5
Clear your vocabulary reviews
5 minWhatever the spaced-repetition queue says is due that day. It starts pre-loaded with 100 Band 7–9 words across 10 IELTS topics.
If you can only protect one habit, protect logging the session. Everything else in the app can be caught up later; a broken streak can't.
Four habits that decide whether it sticks
Pick your Saturday before week 1
Agree the group-session day and time once, in advance, and treat it as fixed. Groups that decide week by week stop meeting by week 4.
Log honestly, especially the bad days
A 10-minute session logged is worth more to the group than a 2-hour session nobody hears about. The board's job is to be accurate, not flattering.
Let the error log choose your practice
Once you have a few weeks of data, the pattern charts are the most valuable thing in the app. Practise your top two error categories, not the section you enjoy most.
Rotate the roles
Session lead, score keeper, resource lead, feedback lead. Settings can rotate them for you — it stops one person quietly carrying the whole group.
